About Patricia Avila
Patricia Avila is the President of the Texas Conjunto Hall of Fame & Museum since 2020.
She has served as a board member since 2014.
Avila is dedicated to the conjunto museum’s service to the public and embraces its mission statement to
- Promote
- Preserve
- Archive
- Document
- And to permanently display the history of Conjunto Regional Music and to honor those who created it.
Avila holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M-Kingsville University.
She is a retired educator. (26 years) She was an elementary teacher at Frank Roberts Elementary School in San Benito. She is a proud alumnus of San Benito High (Class of 1987).
She has volunteered countless hours with several community organizations such as:
- Commissioner/Regional Director for the Texas Music Hall of Fame
- Frank Roberts, PTO Officer
- Harlingen Jaycees, Former President
- TCTA, Board of Directors
- St. Theresa Church A.C.T.S Team
- And Friends of the Museum.
